Hey everyone! If you haven't figured out already my name is Carly. I'm a Junior in the College of Ag with a major in Ag Sales and Marketing. My hometown is Veedersburg, IN, which is about an hour southwest of campus. It's a very small community and I wouldn't want it any other way. In fact my graduating class was 72 people. I live on a grain farm where we raise corn and soybeans. It's just me, my mom, and my dad; and no I'm not a spoiled only child :) For the past three years now I have worked at my local John Deere dealership. It started out as a summer internship and has progressed into a part-time position and soon a full-time position. I am a parts representative so if you need an oil filter for your lawn mower or a new feederhouse chain for your combine you just need to talk to me. I love my job. I work with great people and I work for a great family.
I pull an Allis Chalmers D21, AC 200, and sometimes an AC WC. My goal is to one day have a super stock John Deere with a fire suit and helmet. I am the "leader" of our group. The reason I was chosen for this position was because I have participated in the Relay for Life event before and I had contacts within the organization. I am a member of a great group. We all get along great; so far no fights :) I'm excited to see where this semester leads us. I think it is time to end this.
